New Book: Japanese Knives

Probably the first book in a Western language to be published on the subject of Japanese kitchen knives, this book is part of Kodansha´s “Form and Function” series that was released in 1974 and features several traditional Japanese artifacts. It is not very rich in information – as a matter of fact, it is basically composed by pictures of knives and their descriptions, but it is a well worth acquisition for its historic vaue and also as a source for inspiration. I already owned a cpy befre but regretably let it go and now just received this one.
